The Mill Hill students in the Second Cycle of the Formation Programme moved to their new home at Chelsea Marina Court at the edge of the slums at Kibera in Nairobi sometime in mid-January 2007. After spending just over two years in three rented houses in Jambo Estate at Otiende which was close to Langata Road, it was felt that the Mill Hill students needed more space and a place of their own. This was also in line with the spirit of the Review Body which highly recommended that the students move out of institutional formation and live among the people. This means that the students look after their own affairs like cooking for themselves and take the public transport to go to Tangaza to attend lectures. Two members of staff, Liam Cummins and Theodor Wubbels are staying with the students, and they are assisted by others in the formation programme.

The premises were not quite ready as yet when they moved in. The final finishing of the living quarters was taking frustratingly longer than anticipated. The Chapel and Common Room were expected to be completed by the end of March. The official opening in the presence of the General Superior, Tony Chantry, is scheduled for Sunday August 26th 2007.
