A seminar for members of the Society who are aged 65 years and above will be held at the Benedictine Centre, Bevilacqua, Rome beginning on the evening of 4th October 2008 and concluding on 25th October 2008.
Twenty five members of the Society have been invited to take part in this three-week renewal programme for active senior members and associates. For a list of the participants, click here: participants
The programme includes talks on spirituality, preparation for old age, developing creative and life-giving skills and how to prepare for retirement. Participants will also get an opportunity for a papal audience and a visit to the SCAVI excavations. A trip to Assisi has also been planned.
The Core Team members for the Seminar are Brendan Jordan, John McCluskey, Frank Downs and Mary Roe, a Sacred Heart Sister. Guy Theuinis and Donald McLeoud both Missionaries of Africa, have been invited as visiting facilitators.
