At the end of January 2008, the members of the old St. Jozefhuis started moving into the newly built Sint Jozefhuis. Even though the building was ready, the decorating of the house, as well as the finishing touches to the surroundings, were to take place gradually.

By the end of May the whole building was spick and span, whilst the front gardens, with their colourful flowers and plants, added the finishing touch.

The official blessing
On May 30th the residents of Vrijland, Sint Jozefhuis, and many guests gathered in the chapel of Missiehuis Vrijland. About 130 people were present at the Eucharistic celebration. Many Mill Hill Fathers, Brothers, and Ex-members were also present.

The Archbishop of Utrecht, Msgr. William Eijk, presided at the Holy Eucharist.

The General Superior, Fr. Anthony Chantry gave the homily.

He spoke about the merciful Heart of Jesus and how we, as missionaries, had spent our lives promoting this love of Christ in many countries. After having finished our work, we now deserved a wonderful home like the new Sint Jozefhuis.

After Mass all went in procession to the new house.

The Archbishop said the prayers and blessed the new home.

When the official part was over, those present enjoyed each other's company, had a drink together, and were served a wonderful meal.
