Thirteen students in the various Centres of Formation of the Mill Hill Missionaries will be taking their Temporary Oaths to the Society this year. Seventeen Temporary members will renew their Oaths at various times during the year.
In India, the ceremony took place at the Formation Centre in Hyderabad on 15th March 2009 presided over by the General Superior, Fr Anthony Chantry MHM.
Four students; Joseph Samad, Lulu Nayak, Suresh Manaya and Vailankani Perikali took the Temporary Oath for the first time while eight students renewed their Oaths: Anish Thengumpillil, Devadas Sannakki, Prakash Madanu, Arul Nirmal Raj Jegaraj, Vijay Pullugujju, Suresh Kocherla, Suresh Pachikalapadu and Bhaskar Babu Joseph Gangavarapu.
Victor Nayak renewed his Oath at Varanasi on Wednesday 18th March 2009.
In the Philippines, Jerry Mark Palec took his Oath in the presence of the Councillor for Africa, Fr Michael Corcoran MHM on 19th March 2009 at the Formation Centre in Iloilo.
On 19th March 2009, Leo P. Divinagracia renewed his Temporary Oath at Panyangara, Kotido, Uganda where he is on his MEP. Melchor Orquela renewed his Oath at Mbikko, Jinja, Uganda where he is on his MEP.
On 4th April 2009, three students took their Temporary Oath at the Formation Centre at Bamenda, Cameroon. They are John Ewu Eko Ewang, Johnson Tatah and Richard Tah.
On 1st May 2009, at the Formation Centre in Jinja, Uganda, five students took the Temporary Oath for the first time. They are Patrick Onyangore Atandi, Gabriel Owuor Barasa, Benedict Obanga Oduor, James Bichage and Edwin Tuti.
On the same day at the Formation Centre in Nairobi, Kenya, seven students renewed their Temporary Oaths: Ponje Sylvester Mbiydzenyuy, Joseph King Afumaboh, Innocent Wefon Akum, Mathews Olili, Anthony Ndichia, Ernest Is’aloluwa Liuta and Tiberius Okuti.
